I knew I LOVED this book from its very first sentence. Perhaps my favourite instalment in a series I’ve adored for so long now, this tender, funny, passionate, but scrumptiously slow burning romance between two best friends delivers, as always, Callihan’s trademark brand of wit and heat, outshone only by the consistent quality of her prose. An absolute must-read cover to cover.

This story had all the winning components that I seek in a stress-free read—comedy, crackling sexual chemistry, sparkling dialogues—but I never expected to fall for the characters SO hard, SO soon. I couldn’t get enough of their quirks and whims, devouring page after page as I either giggled myself silly at their antics, or spontaneously combusted from their scrumptious romps between the sheets, because this book is the FULL PACKAGE in every possible way. And I already want to read it again.
With the story of a broken young woman desperate to find herself and the dangerous kingpin she unexpectedly falls for, Elle Aycart delivers yet another dazzling addition to a beloved series that I wish would never ever end, and just one more reason why this author will forever remain a top favourite of mine. Super sexy, funny, a thrill ride cover to cover, I cannot recommend it highly enough whether you’re a fan of this series or new to it.
There has not been ONE thing about this book that I did not ADORE—from the vibrant characters and vivid dialogues between them, to the perfectly paced love story that never eclipses the great message behind the author’s every word—and it only took me a few chapters to KNOW that I had found a true gem. Stories like these are the reason I read—they are exactly what I always hope to find when I turn that first page—and I have loved this book from its first words to the very last. My second SIX-STAR read of 2017, and from a new-to-me author to boot!
