There’s a reason why Annabel Monaghan is considered to be in a class of her own when it comes to uplifting, emotionally resonant romances that leave readers beaming from ear to ear, because this gem of a book delivers pure joy from its very first page. Witty, delightful, and a refreshing take on the well-loved trope of fake dating in a small town setting, everything about this radiant novel is simply beautiful. I didn’t know I was looking for a cosy romance like this, yet there has never been a book I needed more in my life.

It doesn’t happen all that often that a book shakes me to my very core. But Wolfsong by TJ Klune has been a tectonic event in my reading life. I can tell you that it’s a male/male romance, I can tell you that there are werewolves in it, I can tell you it’s the very definition of a “found family” trope, but none of those descriptors do this book justice. TJ Klune’s minimalist prose and slow, poetic rhythm pull you in like a spell, seducing you into slow, wilful surrender, but his every word is purposeful and capable of delivering a lingering gut punch that will steal the air from your lungs. This is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read, and in many ways, one of the most painful, too. I read until 4am two nights in a row, crying into my pillow but unable to let these characters go. 6 STARS!

The premise of two rival meteorologists who get stuck in a snowstorm together, sharing one bed, might not be uncharted territory in the Romance genre, but B.K. Borison manages to turn a familiar trope into a fresh, richly layered, deeply relatable, warm hug of a story that left me giggling, swooning, and smiling ear to ear. Achingly tender and romantic, Jackson and Delilah dazzle off the pages.

In a rapidly changing world, there is one constant that continues to provide this reader with refuge and much needed escapism, and that constant is Kristen Ashley’s inimitable brand of storytelling. As one of the most versatile Romance writers of today, Ashley’s extensive catalogue stretches across several subgenres and tropes, but all her stories have one thing in common—emotional depth and rich character development—and her latest novel is a perfect testament to that. The quiet, restrained beauty of the English countryside offers an idyllic setting to a poignant tale of love, friendship, and mystery, that is only intensified by a touch of the supernatural. When it comes to delivering stories that take over your entire life while reading them, then settling deep into the fabric of your soul, Kristen Ashley reigns supreme.

He might be the greatest swimmer of all time, but he doesn’t know his bank login.

Veronica Rubio can spot a hot mess a mile away.

Having to deal with one—much less work for one—isn’t exactly at the top of her list of things she wants to do.

So, when the trainwreck known as George Moore steamrolls into her life, she wants to run away… if only it weren’t for the commission check she could make off selling his house.

But when the man with more gold medals than anyone else in the world needs help, Veronica finds it’s a lot easier said than done to leave him to figure things out on his own.

Especially not when he’s so nice to her grandma.

And her brothers.

Helping him out a little would be the nice thing to do… wouldn’t it?

This is a standalone novel.

A divorced detective who is all about order gets more than he bargained for when his new nanny sends his life—and his heart—spinning out of control…

Finley Westbook’s life just blew up. Now, the only thing she wants is for her husband to sign their divorce papers. Just one problem: He wants half of her, and her family’s, fortune. When her best friend tells her a man in her hometown needs a short-term, live-in nanny for his eight-year-old son, it sounds like the perfect escape from the mess her life has become. Sure, Finley has never had a job, but how hard can it be to take care of an adorable kid?

Single dad and small-town detective Lincoln Burke doesn’t have time for chaos. But just as his ex-wife is about to leave for her honeymoon, a major case hits his desk. He’s desperate to find a nanny, and it seems Finley is his only option. She’s a walking disaster in his kitchen, can never follow a schedule—and is a dangerous temptation in his home.

The chemistry between them is impossible to ignore, but Lincoln won’t risk his heart again—especially not with his employee. Yet, the more Finley pushes his buttons, the harder she is to resist. GRUMPY/SUNSHINE + SMALL TOWN

Genevieve Fenwick has her life together—until her fiancé’s betrayal tears their future apart. Now, heartbroken and unsure of what’s next, she looks for comfort where it all began: Gooseberry Ridge, the quaint and still-welcoming hometown she left behind.

Genevieve’s heartache is soon displaced by family drama, eccentric neighbors, and a loveable search and rescue dog. Not to mention scandalous thoughts about deputy sheriff Wyatt Foster. But while Wyatt is ruggedly handsome, loyal, and protective (everything her fiancé wasn’t), Genevieve’s still hurting. No amount of chemistry can change that.

And yet, as her meddling, matchmaking mother and tight-knit Montana home keep pushing her and Wyatt together, Genevieve realizes there’s more than just a spark there. The charge burns brighter with every run-in, every word, every layer exposing the softness beneath his strength.

Wyatt has something Genevieve wants. Something she needs. And though her best-laid plans lie in ruins, he might be the best shot she’s ever taken.

This is a standalone novel in the all-new The Love Stone series.

STAR-CROSSED LOVERS + COMING OF AGE

I was raised to believe the danger lived outside our walls. And Ford James looked like the most dangerous thing of all.

I’ve spent my entire life inside Bright Covenant — a religious community with rules for everything, a place where questions aren’t allowed. When my family is sent to heal Westside, a small Florida beach town, I arrive certain of two things: the world outside is exactly as dangerous as I was warned, and Ford James — who vandalized our home before we’d even unpacked — is proof.

He’s the reason I had to leave home during my final year of school. He’s the reason half the senior class wants me gone. But he also makes me question everything I know, and want things I’ve never wanted before—things I’m meant to save for my husband.

Come June, I board a plane to Bolivia, and will return engaged to a member of Bright Covenant.

Which means I have one year to decide if Ford James is really the villain. Or worth burning my world down for.

This is a standalone novel.

RIVALS TO LOVERS + FORCED PROXIMITY + SMALL TOWN

No loopholes. No backing out. No leaving for four months.

Damon Burke is intense, handsome and vengefully calculating—he’s also certain he’ll outlast his competitor.

Jade Buchanan is brilliant, ruthless, and absolutely not losing to him.

But the house seems to have a mind of its own. With faulty wiring, a leaking roof, drafty windows and the occasional wild-life infestation, it just might be trying to kill them. And the more Damon and Jade try to oust each other from the property, the more it brings them together.

Sparks fly, tempers clash—but eventually, all their walls come crumbling down.

It’s a bad idea to get too close to your enemy. To care about them, need them, want them more than you’ve ever wanted anything.

But when rivalry becomes something more than they ever expected, Damon and Jade discover love can be a very good bad idea.

This is a standalone novel.

RIVALS TO LOVERS + FORCED PROXIMITY + PARANORMAL ROMANCE

A connection that’s more than supernatural emerges between two rival tour guides who wish they could ghost each other…

Paranormal medium Rory Woods spends her days offering psychic readings at Ye Olde Spirit Shop and nights haunting the streets of Boston as a ghost-tour guide. Sure, business could be better, but she’s proud of the shop she runs with her mom.

Enter Ezra Blackwell: adjunct history professor, noted thorn in Rory’s side, and—though she’d only admit it under threat of medieval torture he surely knows too much about—a distractingly handsome, charismatic coworker.

Rory can’t stand Ezra’s know-it-all, show-offy behavior. Ezra loves to tease the gorgeous, brilliant medium at the shop. And when the two are forced to host a tour together? It’s no wonder they end up hexed after disturbing a matchmaking ghost.

Saddled with perpetual bad luck unless they’re physically near each other, Rory and Ezra will try anything, from séances to kissing, to stop the jinx from wreaking havoc on both their lives. But in their quest to appease the spirit, they realize that growing closer might not be the curse they once thought it was.

This is a standalone novel.

DARK FANTASY

“Guard your heart, foolish girl. The wolves will come to steal it.”

In a quiet French town steeped in old folklore, Nyx has always believed in logic―not legends. So discovering she’s descended from a line of Red Hood witches feels more like a mistake than destiny. But some stories refuse to stay buried.

The Volkovs have been cursed for generations, and time is running out. The only way to break it? A Red Hood witch must fall in love with one of them. Mikhail Volkov is desperate to save someone he loves―and ending the curse is his last hope. Getting close to Nyx was supposed to be a means to an end… until it becomes something far more dangerous.

Gray, the watchful hunter who seems to linger on the edges of every secret, is thrust into Nyx’s life next. Protective, intense, and impossible to ignore, he draws Nyx deeper into a world she doesn’t understand―and can’t escape.

Caught between wolf and hunter, instinct and reason, Nyx must decide who to trust―and what she’s willing to risk.

This is the first book in the all-new Hunt the Red Hood duology, a dark reimagining of Red Riding Hood.

BEST FREND’S WIDOW + FIREFIGHTER + HE FALLS FIRST + SMALL TOWN

I’ve been running toward burning buildings for a decade. Then my best friend’s widow smiled at me for the first time in two years, and I knew right then I was in trouble.

After Caleb died, I made a promise—I’d take care of his wife. Keep an eye on her. Check in on her. Make sure she kept on living.

Collins insists she’s fine. She’s not.

So when she finally agrees to let me help pull her out of her grief, I vow to stand beside her however long she needs me, no matter how much it costs me.

Collins isn’t supposed to smile at me like she does. She’s not supposed to let me in. And she definitely isn’t supposed to be the best part of my day.

She was Caleb’s. I know that.

The problem is, I can’t stop wondering what it would be like if Collins wasn’t just someone I was meant to protect.

But mine.

This is the second book in The Mercer Family series of standalone novels with interconnected characters.

FRIENDS TO LOVERS + FAKE DATING + BROTHER’S BEST FRIEND

I never meant to accidentally date my brother’s best friend.

Brody Shepard has been Star Harbor’s golden boy for as long as I can remember. Decorated police officer and all-around sexiest man alive, it’s taken years to get over my girlhood crush.

Trouble is, my brother Hayes might actually be cursed. The ghost stories in our small town run wild, but there’s no denying that when it comes to epic bad luck, my brother wins the prize. It’s why I was determined to set him up with the perfect woman.

For that, I needed Brody’s help. Together, we could increase my brother’s happiness and prove to him that he isn’t really cursed. But all our spying and conspiring meant late night talks, dinner reservations to check on him, and a few too many accidental touches.

Touches that start to feel a little too real.

I know better than to fall for Brody’s cocky charm, smoldering looks, and affable humor. Besides, he’d never cross that line with me . . . right?

But the more we work together, the more lines are crossed and boundaries blurred. Our lifelong friendship started to change. Now we’re both making excuses to spend time together. Whispered secrets turn into secret touches.

Soon, I learn all too quickly that the girlhood fantasy I’d thought I’d cut down just might be in full bloom.

This is a standalone novel in the Star Harbor series.

HOLIDAY MYSTERY ROMANCE + CHILDHOOD ENEMIES TO LOVERS + FORCED PROXIMITY

Ella Chambers didn’t kill Liam Montgomery.

If she had, she certainly wouldn’t have done it outside his family’s mansion during the Christmas party of the year. She definitely wouldn’t have loaded his body into the trunk of her car. And she absolutely would not have announced to the town that the boy who ruined her life ten years ago was “so dead to her.”

But now Liam is missing—nothing but a bloody spot on the drive and a host of unanswered questions—and Ella is the only person who knows he’s still alive.

So it’s up to her to prove it.

Liam Montgomery didn’t want to die.

But, it turns out, when you’re the sole heir to a billionaire, someone might want you dead. Luckily for Liam, being dead works for him.

Now he’s on the hunt for a killer. Unfortunately, Ella is on the hunt for him.

She’ll have to prove he’s still alive to clear her name, but that’s easier said than done in a quaint mountain town where everyone knows your story but no one knows the truth. Can the billionaire’s grandson and the housekeeper’s daughter join forces to catch a killer? Or is their past too steeped in secrets and lies?

As the storm of the century blows in, every step will bring these two childhood rivals closer to a killer—and each other.

Because, this Christmas, only one thing is certain: it’s beginning to look a lot like murder.

This is a standalone novel in the Kiss Merry Kill series.
