I don’t know what it is about ‘marriage in crisis’ scenarios that I find so irresistible, but it also happens to be the trope that makes me the hardest to please as a reader, so finding a great book like this one feels like winning the lottery. It’s the story of Eliza and Graham, a couple on their way to a luxury resort on the Northern California coastline for a weeklong getaway to celebrate their five-year anniversary. But Eliza and Graham’s marriage is in crisis. They don’t talk about it, they don’t acknowledge the many tiny fissures in their relationship that are slowly becoming gaping chasms between them, but they are slowly becoming complete strangers to one another. So, when a booking mishap puts them in two separate rooms, Eliza sees this as an opportunity to give their marriage a much-needed reboot. They agree to spend the week pretending to be perfect strangers—flirting, roleplaying, and getting to know one another for the first time… all over again. Exquisitely written and oh-so perfectly paced, nothing about this story is hurried or overdone. We genuinely feel the unwavering love between these two characters and all they are willing to do to save their marriage from ruin. A rare treat!

The intensity and grit of every one of Kristen Ashley’s Motorcycle Club Romances might always be a given, but every time she returns to this alpha world of bikes and brotherhood, you never know what you’re going to find. Her latest novel takes us into the heart of Resurrection MC, formerly known as Bounty, with a somewhat less action-driven story of two people hell-bent on not repeating the sins of their fathers, but every bit as compelling for the raw emotion and sheer badassery that it offers. It’s a story about love and the power of family—both those we are born into as well as those we choose—just as much as it is a subtle challenging of traditional gender roles and stereotypes where a woman can be both a devoted life partner and remain the architect of her own life, while a man is no less of a ‘man’ just because he is willing to tailor his life to meet his partner’s career demands. Kristen Ashley’s love stories continue to celebrate relationships that buoy women emotionally without breaking their spirit, and when she throws a protective alpha biker into the mix, you’ve got pure magic.

Riley Hart is one of my must-read authors for a reason—her romances never fail to captivate and make me feel all the feels, but her latest novel downright broke my heart. This emotionally charged story takes us to small town North Carolina, and into the lives of two young men, Sutton and Jasper, who’ve been best friends all their lives. Their bond has always been strong and special, but over time and countless little moments shared together, their attraction and feelings for each other begin to change. They both begin to realise that they feel more for their best friend than they think they should, and have felt that way for quite some time, but admitting it might prove to be the easiest part. Filled with first times and new beginnings, their story is one of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and sexual awakening in the midst of prejudice and fear of being different. We watch them turn to each other for support and strength as their relationship comes under scrutiny from those closest to them, but trying to break their own preconceived notions about themselves could be the hardest part. Riley Hart takes your breath away with the way she captures the effervesce, the confusion, the intensity, and the raw emotion of a love that can’t be denied, but she amazes, as always, with her compassion and insight.

C. Travis Rice, Christopher Rice’s writing alter ego, transports us again to Sapphire Cove, the luxury beachfront resort on the sparkling Southern California coast, with another steamy yet super emotional love story. Naser Kazemi is the best friend of Connor Harcourt from Sapphire Sunset, Sapphire Cove’s owner and manager, while Mason Worther is the former jock who used to bully Naser in high school. When they meet again a decade later, Naser’s wounds are as raw as ever, his traumatic high school experience having shaped him in more ways than one, but what he doesn’t expect is for Mason to be desperately looking for forgiveness from the very classmate he’d both abused and desired more than any other—Naser. And to be ready to do the hard work to deserve his forgiveness. Tackling addiction, abuse, homophobia, and bullying with both sensitivity and brutal honesty, this was one of the most authentic redemption stories I have ever read.

HOCKEY ROMANCE

My name is Hudson Newgate, but my teammates call me New Guy.

That was my nickname in Chicago, too. And Vancouver. That’s what happens when you keep getting traded. Brooklyn is my last chance, especially after my poor performance last season.

But I can make this work. The new guy knows to keep his head down and shoot the puck. The new guy puts the game first.

What he doesn’t do is hook up with the other new guy—a hot athletic trainer who lives in my building. Gavin needs this job with my team. He’s a single dad with responsibilities.

We can’t be a couple. My arrogant agent–who’s also my father–will lose his mind if I’m dating a dude. And my team needs me to score goals, not whip up a media circus.

Too bad Gavin and I are terrible at resisting each other…

This is the first book in the all-new Hockey Guys series of standalone novels with interconnected characters.

FRIENDS TO LOVERS

At first, I thought I’d hate spending the summer with Archie Remington—the conceited son of my parents’ friends.

What I knew about Archie: he was gorgeous, pre-law, and had always treated me like I didn’t exist when we were younger.

When our families bought a house together on an island in Maine, he and I were forced to share a bathroom.

The boy I remembered was now a full-grown man—but with the same attitude.

After a rough start, Archie and I unexpectedly started getting along one day and eventually became friends. We shared secrets and bonded during our morning jogs. I discovered that Archie had a wild spirit and that he struggled to conform to his father’s expectations.

Things were cool until I had to go and ruin it, getting drunk one night, and blurting out my fantasy—involving him.

I took it back, but it was too late. Archie had heard me loud and clear. After that, we never quite knew how to toe the line.

When that summer came to an abrupt and shocking end, I headed back to college, unsure if anything would ever be the same again.

Across the miles over the years, he and I stayed in touch as friends, but fate and timing always kept us from becoming more.

You know the saying: If two people are meant to be, they’ll find their way back to each other?

Let’s just say Archie came back into my life in a way I would’ve never expected.

And this time, my heart would really be put to the test.

This is a standalone novel.

Arrogant villain.
Cold-hearted heir.

I should hate him… so why can’t I stop wanting him?

He doesn’t do relationships.
Especially not with the virgin amputee who accidentally became his nanny during an elevator mishap.
But he’s wound himself around my heart.
And it’s the last place he should be.
He’ll hurt me. It’s not even a question of if. It’s when.

Because hearts like his don’t love… they destroy.

BEST FRIENDS TO LOVERS

Meet me… in the place where the sun kisses the horizon and sinks into blue shades of you and me.

Meet me there… where everything was always perfect. You and me and the damp grass at dawn and the gray dirt in the late evening rain.

Meet me where we were ourselves and not these two people who can’t even say I love you.

Meet me there and maybe we’ll remember…

We’ll remember the us we were before them, before miles, before lost hours, and you’ll ask what color the sky is, and I’ll say blue like your eyes.

And you’ll smile, and I’ll forget I ever missed you.

* * *

Luka and Rook have been best friends since they were nine years old.

Five years ago, Luka threw it all away.

When his dad’s health takes a turn for the worst, Luka must come home to say his goodbyes and mend the bridges he burned all those years ago. But coming home is harder than he imagined, and after reuniting with his family, there’s only one person he needs.

Rook…

His best friend.

The one man he pushed away, the one man, no matter how hard he tried to forget, he can’t stop himself from loving.

Even if loving him means breaking his heart all over again.

This is a standalone novel in the all-new Hemlock Harbor series.

HISTORICAL ROMANCE

London is buzzing with the news that James Winters, the Duke of Wulverton—thought lost at sea a decade ago—survived in the harsh wilderness of the Yukon. Now he’s been returned to his family, his responsibilities, and a nightmarish world of artifice and noise. He has three weeks to become a refined, elegant duke for the Queen…or doom the entire family to ruin and scandal.

Promising psychologist Jules Southby knows a lot about disguises. She’s secretly been living as a boy since birth, enjoying the freedoms of men and knowing little about how to behave like a woman. When she meets the alluring duke, she’s unprepared for his raw, masculine beauty and icy intelligence…or that he can see through her darkest secret.

Jules has very little time to transform the duke into a true semblance of an English gentleman. Yet his very presence seems to unravel her in every way. Their attraction is stark and achingly real—and forbidden. But loving the lost duke would mean losing every sacrifice she’s made to earn her freedom…

SPORTS ROMANCE

Cannon West left his hockey playing days behind to care for his dying wife but has since found success on the other side of the bench. Now, as the youngest head coach in league history, he’s hoping to lead the Pittsburgh Titans to a winning season. The last thing he’s looking for is a relationship, but life sometimes takes us in another direction.

The Pittsburgh Titans are still working to move on from the tragic plane crash that forever changed the landscape of their organization. Having lost my wife, I know all about grief and the guilt of survival which makes me uniquely equipped to take this team to the next level. From the very first time I stepped inside the Titans’ arena, I knew I was exactly where I needed to be.

New to town, I’m still establishing my routine, but I have the most important aspect under control—the coffee shop where I stop on my way to the arena every morning. A strong cup of java and the gorgeous manager who I can’t help but chat up is quickly becoming my favorite way to start the day. But no matter how much I enjoy the blush that stains Ava Cavanaugh’s cheeks with my admittedly awkward attempt at flirting, I know it will never be more than brazen banter with a new friend. My job consumes almost all my time, and I know firsthand what that level of commitment can do to a relationship.

That doesn’t mean I’m not open to some fun. My career comes first, but Ava understands my boundaries. The only problem is that once I give into her temptation, the rules I set for myself become blurred, and my mixed signals hurt Ava—the one thing I promised I wouldn’t do. I’ve put myself in what seems to be an untenable situation, but I’ve faced those before. Now I need to find the strength to move past my fears, or risk losing my second chance at love with the woman who has stolen my heart.

This is the sixth book in the Pittsburgh Titans series of standalone novels with interconnected characters.

A shy bookworm enlists her charming neighbor to help her score a date, not knowing he’s the obscure author she’s been corresponding with…

Shy, bookish, and admittedly awkward, Lily Greene has always felt inadequate compared to the rest of her accomplished family, who strive for Black excellence. She dreams of becoming a children’s books editor, but she’s been frustratingly stuck in the nonfiction division for years without a promotion in sight. Lily finds escapism in her correspondences with her favorite fantasy author, and what begins as two lonely people connecting over email turns into a tentative friendship and possibly something else Lily won’t let herself entertain—until he ghosts her without a word.

Months later, Lily is still crushed, but she’s determined to get a hold of her life, starting with finding a date to her sister’s wedding. And the perfect person to help her is Nick Brown, her charming, attractive new neighbor, who she feels drawn to for reasons she can’t explain. But little does she know, Nick is an author—her favorite fantasy author.

Nick, who has his reasons for using a pen name and pushing people away, soon realizes that the beautiful, quiet girl from down the hall is the same Lily he fell in love with over email months ago. Unwilling to complicate things even more between them, he agrees to set her up with someone else, though this simple favor between two neighbors is anything but—not when he can’t get her off his mind…

SINGLE DAD/NANNY + GRUMPY/SUNSHINE + SMALL TOWN

Chase Marshall is many things:

· An attentive single dad

· Jaw-droppingly gorgeous

· My employer for the next thirty days

He’s also the bane of my existence.

He swears I’m a never-ending headache—the most infuriating woman he’s ever met.

If I’m so irritating, then what’s up with the lingering looks when he thinks I’m not watching?

The seemingly innocent touches while making breakfast?

The smirk that graces his kissable lips after one of our verbal spars after his daughter has gone to bed?

One minute he’s coming to my rescue. The next second he’s complaining about how I fold his work shirts. Fine. Fold them yourself.

It turns out that the only time I don’t get under Chase’s skin is when I’m under him.

And that’s where things get complicated.

This is a standalone novel in the Coming Home collection of romances, each book written by a different author.
