Once in Africa, I kissed a king…
“And just like that, in an old red barn at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, I discovered the elusive magic I had only ever glimpsed between the pages of great love stories. It fluttered around me like a newly born butterfly and settled in a corner of my heart. I held my breath, afraid to exhale for fear it would slip out, never to be found again.”
When a bomb explodes in a mall in East Africa, its aftershocks send two strangers on a collision course that neither one sees coming.
Jack Warden, a divorced coffee farmer in Tanzania, loses his only daughter. An ocean away, in the English countryside, Rodel Emerson loses her only sibling.
Two ordinary people, bound by a tragic afternoon, set out to achieve the extraordinary, as they make three stops to rescue three children across the vast plains of the Serengeti—children who are worth more dead than alive.
But even if they beat the odds, another challenge looms at the end of the line. Can they survive yet another loss—this time of a love that’s bound to slip through their fingers, like the mists that dissipate in the light of the sun?
“Sometimes you come across a rainbow story—one that spans your heart. You might not be able to grasp it or hold on to it, but you can never be sorry for the color and magic it brought.”
This is a standalone novel, and one of the best books I’ve EVER read.

Lucas Thatcher has always been my enemy.
It’s been a decade since I’ve seen him, but our years on opposite coasts were less of a lasting peace and more of a temporary cease-fire. Now that we’re both back in our small town, I know Lucas expects the same old war, but I’ve changed since high school—and from the looks of it, so has he.
The arrogant boy who was my teenage rival is now a chiseled doctor armed with intimidating good looks. He is Lucas Thatcher 2.0, the new and improved version I’ll be competing with in the workplace instead of the schoolyard.
I’m not worried; I’m a doctor now too, board-certified and sexy in a white coat. It almost feels like winning will be too easy—until Lucas unveils a tactic neither of us has ever used before: sexual warfare.
The day he pushes me up against the wall and presses his lips to mine, I can’t help but wonder if he’s filling me with passion or poison. Every fleeting touch is perfect torture. With every stolen kiss, my walls crumble a little more. After all this time, Lucas knows exactly how to strip me of my defenses, but I’m in no hurry to surrender.
Knowing thy enemy has never felt so good.
This is a standalone Romantic Comedy novel.

He just needs to convince the stubborn blonde that he’s really a good boy with a bad rap. Luckily, every professional hockey player knows that you’ve got to make an effort if you want to score.
But Jess has more pressing issues to deal with than sexy-times with a giant man-child. Such as: Will the ceremony start on time, even though someone got grandma drunk? Does glitter ever belong at a wedding? And is it wrong to murder the best man?

Seduced and manipulated, Noelle gives into the mysterious Penn Everett. The lies he spins, the truth he hides, the mystery he weaves—it’s all enough to slowly erode the woman she is and turn her into something else.

To everyone…including herself.

Some love is infinite…
“Don’t have a best friend that’s a girl” — this was the advice from my older cousin. I didn’t take it. Because he followed with, “friends don’t f*ck friends. And you’ll want to f*ck her.”
It was terrible advice.
My cousin should’ve told me that being best friends with Baylee Wright — since she was twelve — would be the best and worst decision of my life.
He should have told me to protect her from what was coming.
He should have told me that when a darkness crawled towards us, there’d be no safety net.
Now I’ve signed back on to the same Vegas acrobatic show as Baylee, working together for the first time in years. And she tells me that she’s having trouble in a certain “area” of her life — because of our past.
“You can help me fix it,” she says.
And then she hands me a list.
This is a standalone novel, set in the same world as Amour Amour.

There wasn’t anyone or anything I couldn’t control. I thrived on it. It made me who I was. Some called me ruthless because I played dirty in the courtroom, and some called me a man-whore because I liked to sleep with women but refused to give them anything more. I was a thirty-year-old man with the world at his fingertips. I had a successful career that I loved, a luxury apartment on Park Avenue, and the company of any beautiful woman I wanted at any time. Then Ariana Williams walked into my firm and left me breathless. The chemistry between us was undeniable. But I had a past and a secret I never wanted her to know, so I had to walk away. Then one tragic night I needed her, and now she holds the fate of my life in her hands.

One of the most beautiful, poignant, and breathtaking stories I have ever read, this book not only embodies the consistently high calibre of Leylah Attar’s writing, or its timeless elegance, but the transcendent quality of her prose takes the reader’s soul on a journey like no other, leaving us gasping for air in its aftermath. Set against the vibrant backdrop of the African Serengeti, this extraordinary love story is also a compelling and, at times, sobering reminder of life’s many bittersweet moments, and of how much hope can be found among the ashes of one’s heart. SIX STARS!
I’ve been a fan of Cherrie Lynn’s writing for many years, so I always get ridiculously giddy with anticipation whenever one of her books is set to release. The perfect marriage of romance and steam, her stories crackle with sexual chemistry—her bedroom scenes featuring some of the most intense, arousing sex I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading—but it is the emotion that is ever-present in her every word that keeps me coming back for more. And this book did not disappoint. It quite literally rocked my world.
A compelling and moving tale of love between two people inexplicably tied by fate, whose journeys to one another might have been long and riddled by loss, but whose connection remains forever written in the stars—this is a book I adored, cover to cover, and I can’t sing enough praises about its every beautiful word. In my eyes, A.L. Jackson is both poet and remarkable storyteller, and after every one of her books, I soar away certain of having found a new favourite.
In her bold signature style, Alessandra Torre pens a tender, erotic love story with incredibly dynamic protagonists and loads of sexual tension between them, gripping from the start and paced just right until the very end. A sexy, angsty tale of two best friends slowly falling in love with one another, this is a story that is both light-hearted and heart-wrenching at times, the perfect blend of soul, heart, and steam cover to cover.
We’ve known of Daisy and Marcus Sloan for so long, it felt like we knew them already, but nothing could have prepared us for the heart-wrenching story Kristen Ashley was waiting to tell. Technically a novella, this book never short-changes its reader with its brevity—it sinks its hooks into our hearts very early on in the story, and amazes us page after page with its unexpected intensity, its well-rounded characters, and its unwavering focus on the growing emotional bond between them.
The perfect continuation to a story that was intoxicating and thought-provoking from the very beginning, in this book, the author takes us on a titillating journey of self-empowerment and self-discovery, a journey that stems out of heartbreak and anger, but then serves to redefine the heroine’s perception of herself and the woman she wishes to be. Every aspect of this story was unexpected to me, yet exactly as I hoped it would be, and cover to cover, true to Stylo Fantôme’s brand of mind-bending storytelling.
So happy that one of my last reads of the year ended up being a SIX-STAR read!!! I never expected to find this perfect of a story, never even hoped I would connect with it so profoundly and adore its characters so much, but this book ended up being one of the most beautiful, poignant stories I have ever read. The author writes with such emotional intelligence, with so much heart and wit, it is impossible not to fall in love with these characters to the point of willingly losing ourselves in their every interaction. The story remains emotionally driven beginning to end, with no great highs or lows, but rather a constant stream of heartening moments that warm our souls from the inside out.
