When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella’s side of the story. At last, readers can experience Edward’s version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun.

This unforgettable tale as told through Edward’s eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire. As we learn more fascinating details about Edward’s past and the complexity of his inner thoughts, we understand why this is the defining struggle of his life. How can he justify following his heart if it means leading Bella into danger?

In Midnight Sun, Stephenie Meyer transports us back to a world that has captivated millions of readers and brings us an epic novel about the profound pleasures and devastating consequences of immortal love.

I’m pretty sure we can all remember where we were when we first read about a teenage girl named Bella falling for a broody vampire named Edward. It’s the book that started it all for so many of us—our first ‘binge read’, our first vampire crush, our first fandom—and now, fifteen years after the first novel in the Twilight saga was released, Stephenie Meyer is taking us back to Forks, Washington, with Midnight Sun, set to release in August. This highly-anticipated companion novel to Twilight retells the iconic love story of Bella and Edward, but from the vampire’s point of view.

“Working on a book for more than thirteen years is a strange experience. I’m not the same person I was then. My children have all grown up. My back got weird. The world is a different place. I can only imagine all the things that have changed for you. But completing Midnight Sun has brought back to me those early days of Twilight when I first met many of you. We had a lot of fun, didn’t we? Throwing proms and hanging out in hotel rooms and reading on the beach (while getting the most epic sunburns of our lives). We made hilarious t-shirts and fabulous websites. We found kindred spirits that are still in our lives now. I hope going back to the beginning of Bella’s and Edward’s story reminds you of all that fun, too.” —Stephenie Meyer

?????Wow! I’m truly surprised she finally felt inspired to complete Edward’s POV novel. I used to alternate reading it online with reading Twilight. ?And, Stephenie really should be credited for starting the Male POV novel trend. Would we have gotten Tangled by Emma Chase when we did if not for the incomplete Midnight Sun? Maybe but maybe not.

I have been waiting for this book for a long, long time. Stephanie Meyer’s imagination has always intrigued me, her twist on the age-old tale of Vampires and Werewolves cleverly brought into the twenty-first century. Who knew the Cold ones could be so hot!
I loved the Twilight Saga and I am really looking forward to Edward’s POV in Midnight Sun. Woo-hoo!!
