Nikki Sloane’s first toe-dip into the New Adult genre might be a considerable departure from her much racier novels, but as always, she delivers a story that is impossible to put down and an absolute joy to read. Sexy, witty, engaging, this book was my undoing from the very first page, and just thinking about it makes me want to re-read it all over again.
It could also be the sugar rush from all the chocolate I find myself eating while reading her books, but whenever I finish one of Nalini Singh’s soul-stirring romances, my heart is so full, it feels like it could burst. Her stories are so warm and romantic, they soothe and reenergise the hopeless romantic in me—moving me, seducing me, making me devour every single word like a luscious dessert, and always leaving me in a blissful haze—making this the kind of book I am ALWAYS in the mood for!
A compelling, uplifting, truly beautiful tale of two people finding exactly what they always needed when they least expected it, this book sank its hooks into my heart from the start, and I absolutely adored every minute of the emotional journey it took me on. Kristen Ashley is a master at weaving just the kind of perfect chemistry between her characters that makes the reader party to that magic, feeling, marvelling, aching, breathing their every emotion.
Exquisitely written and utterly unique, this is the touching tale of two broken people—a young man who refuses to forget what love felt like, and a young woman who forces herself not to remember—and their journey of healing. Their story stole my heart, even ripped it out of my chest a time or two, yet I knew from the very first page that this would become one the most devastatingly romantic books I’d ever read. And it quickly became my new favourite from this author.
In this modern retelling of Beauty and The Beast, J.T. Geissinger brings a timeless and well-loved fairy tale to life with the rich setting of New Orleans as its backdrop, and its culinary delights as its romantic ambiance. This is the kind of book you read in one sitting and then wish you could immediately read all over again, because every single page makes your heart happy and greedy for more. A delightful must-read.
