TOP RECOMMENDATION | BODYGUARD FALLS FOR CHARGE
Logan St. James is a smoldering, sexy beast. Sure, he can be a little broody at times—but Ellie Hammond’s willing to overlook that. Because, have you seen him??
Sexy. As. Hell.
And Ellie’s perky enough for both of them.
For years, she’s had a crush on the intense, protective royal security guard—but she doesn’t think he ever saw her, not really.
To Logan, Ellie was just part of the job—a relative of the royal family he’d sworn to protect. Now, at 22 years old and fresh out of college, she’s determined to put aside her X-rated dreams of pat-downs and pillow talk, and find a real life happily ever after.
The Queen of Wessco encourages Ellie to follow in her sister’s footsteps and settle down with a prince of her own. Or a duke, a marquis…a viscount would also do nicely.
But in the pursuit of a fairy tale ending, Ellie learns that the sweetest crushes can be the hardest to let go.
♕ ♕ ♕
Logan St. James grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, in a family on the wrong side of the law. But these days, he covers his tattoos and scars with a respectable suit. He’s handsome, loyal, brave, skilled with his hands and…other body parts.
Any woman would be proud to bring him home to her family.
But there’s only one woman he wants.
For years he’s watched over her, protected her, held her hair back when she was sick, taught her how to throw a punch, and spot a liar.
He dreams of her. Would lay down his life for her.
But beautiful Ellie Hammond’s off-limits.
Everybody knows the bodyguard rules: Never lose focus, never let them out of your sight, and never, ever fall in love.
This is the third book in the Royally series of interconnected standalone novels. Reading these books in order is recommended.
You know when you’re looking at someone and you can’t help but smile at how oblivious they are to their own charm? That’s what was happening to me, and it was making me feel…happy. Euphoric. Something indescribable. It was like we already knew each other, like we had met in a previous life. Memories that didn’t exist began exploding in my mind like fireworks.
Charlotte has spent her twenties adrift, searching for a spark to jump-start her life and give her a sense of purpose. She’s had as many jobs as she’s had bad relationships, and now she’s feeling especially lost in her less-than-glamorous gig at a pie-and-fry joint in Los Angeles, where the uniforms are bad and the tips are even worse.
Then she collides—literally—with Adam, an intriguing, handsome, and mysterious painter. Their serendipitous meeting on the street turns into a whirlwind one-night stand that has Charlotte feeling enchanted by Adam’s spontaneity and joy for life. There’s promise in both his words and actions, but in the harsh light of morning, Adam’s tune changes, leaving Charlotte to wonder if her notorious bad luck with men is really just her own bad judgment.
Months later, a new relationship with Seth, a charming baseball player, is turning into something more meaningful, but Charlotte’s still having trouble moving past her one enthralling night with Adam. Why? When she searches for answers, she finds the situation with Adam is far more complicated than she ever imagined. Faced with the decision to write a new story with Seth or finish the one started with Adam, Charlotte embarks on a life-altering journey, one that takes her across the world and back again, bringing a lifetime’s worth of pain, joy, and wisdom.

BEST FRIENDS TO LOVERS
The only thing worse than not being able to tell your best friend you’re head over heels in love with him? Having to smile and nod when he enlists your help to ensnare the girl of his dreams.
Braylen didn’t even want to go to Lennon Pryor’s epic graduation-night party, but when Fynn begs her to be his “wingwoman,” she can’t deny him. Talking up her BFF—how he’s magic behind a camera, with a killer sense of humor and eyelashes that frame the most gorgeous blue eyes in the history of forever—is easy. Supporting his efforts to woo someone so completely wrong for him? Not so much.
Fynn knows that grad night is his last shot before leaving for college to find true love. And thanks to Bray, he gets his chance with the beautiful Katy Evans. But over the course of the coolest party of their high school careers, he starts to see that perhaps what he really wants has been in front of him all along. Bray’s been his best friend since kindergarten, though, and he’d rather have her in his life as a friend than not at all.

Alexander IV has succeeded to the throne of the billion-dollar Kingwood Empire, but the people he thought he could trust aren’t allies.

Now, you know my mama’s a gambler (sweeper, whatever…), so I guess I got to blame her for a little of this.
When the band got invited to do a big gig here in Las Vegas, I was so excited. Really excited. And when we got here, I was dazzled.
A little too dazzled. I blame the lights and the money and does Vegas pump a scent through the entire town that makes you think you’re a winner, or what?
Because I gambled all our money away. And by “our,” I mean the band’s money. All of it. Every dang cent.
Only no one knows. They’d kill me. So I have to find a way to make all that money back.
I have an idea. I got a good body and a smart mind.
I can do this. I can fix this.
It’s just gonna get a little weird for a while.

No one said finding love was easy, but when you invented the world’s bestselling vibrator, it’s near impossible. Yep, that’s right. That little toy hidden in your bedside table is my brain child. It’s aptly named Woman on Top. And you know what they say . . . it’s lonely at the top.

Gabriel Martinez is the most arrogant and infuriating man I’ve ever met. He has a knee-weakening smirk that makes me want to kiss—no—slap it off his rude, sexy face. He’s already been forgotten like last season’s Michael Kors.
CeCe Kensington is as pretentious and spoiled as they come. The ridiculous purses she shoulders around are as big as her attitude. Still, she forged forward.

Kerra Bailey is a TV journalist hot on the trail of a story guaranteed to skyrocket her career to new heights. Twenty-five years ago, Major Franklin Trapper became a national icon when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors to safety after the bombing of a Dallas hotel. For years, he gave frequent speeches and interviews but then suddenly dropped out of the public eye, shunning all media. Now Kerra is willing to use any means necessary to get an exclusive with the Major—even if she has to secure an introduction from his estranged son, former ATF agent John Trapper.
Still seething over his break with both the ATF and his father, Trapper wants no association with the bombing or the Major. Yet Kerra’s hints that there’s more to the story rouse Trapper’s interest despite himself. And when the interview goes catastrophically awry—with unknown assailants targeting not only the Major, but also Kerra—Trapper realizes he needs her under wraps if he’s going to track down the gunmen . . . and finally discover who was responsible for the Dallas bombing.
Kerra is wary of a man so charming one moment and dangerous the next, and she knows Trapper is withholding evidence from his ATF investigation into the bombing. But having no one else to trust and enemies lurking closer than they know, Kerra and Trapper join forces to expose a sinuous network of lies and conspiracy—and uncover who would want a national hero dead.

This book—this delightful, feel-good, at times incredibly moving tale of second chances—owned my heart cover to cover. There’s something about small town romances that never fails to strike a chord with me, their romantic backdrop creating the picture-perfect setting for timeless love stories infused with hope and promise, and the Jamison Valley series is the very epitome of epic love wrapped in small-town charm. This is one of my most beloved books of the year—a story I simply could not get enough of—and this author is quickly becoming a top favourite of mine.
It’s always a huge thrill for me to read an author for the very first time, especially one who comes so highly praised by so many, but to find myself in awe of their every confidently written word from the start, to see myself connecting and falling in love with their characters in such a way that I am compelled to read a book twice, back to back, just because I can’t let go… Ah, that is a rare joy and one that makes me want to shout their name from the rooftops! Santino Hassell’s radiant prose captivates, entices, inspires, electrifies, and as his characters continue to reveal their complexity page after page, a story with a deceptively simple premise develops into one that packs a hefty punch at every turn. I ADORED this book, there’s no other way to say it, and already cannot wait for the next one in the series.
My heart did a little flip when I realised that the third book in this beloved series would be about a royal bodyguard falling for his charge. Emma Chase weaves an enchanting tale of forbidden love, the slow-burning will-they-won’t-they tension between the lead characters taking its time to grow from sweet and charming, to downright hot and heavy, but once it erupts, it sets the pages on fire. This book made me SO so giddy!!
It must be said that the sex in this book is not just explosive—it is downright NUCLEAR. It is so finger-lickin’ good that I think I’ve got entire paragraphs memorized simply from re-reading them so many times. And yet, that is not even one of the main reasons I loved this book so much. One of the most gratifying friends-to-lovers scenarios I’ve ever come across, this is the story of two best friends who must come to terms with their long-suppressed feelings for one another after one accidental ‘Peeping Tom’ moment changes everything between them.
As one of the most anticipated books of my entire life—and that is not an overstatement—my expectations of The Bourbon Kings finale were sky high. This is a series that, even with instalments coming a whole year apart, has kept me so unbelievably invested, that every detail of this great saga stayed at the forefront of my mind regardless of how much time had elapsed. So I was not surprised when I found myself sobbing uncontrollably through the last few chapters of this book, overwhelmed by the storyline, the characters, the flawless way the puzzle pieces all finally came together, but above all, by J.R. Ward’s commanding prose and vivid atmospherics that held me rapt until the very end. SIX STARS!
I’ve been anxiously anticipating this story ever since we met its two lead characters in The Opposite of You, always suspecting that the courtship between two people with absolutely nothing in common would be a riveting one, but the way Rachel Higginson builds this slow burning romance to its heart-pounding climax has left me reeling. This book stole my heart, one delightful page at a time, and not just because it gave us Ezra Baptiste—one of the swooniest heroes I’ve ever come across—but also because every woman can find a little bit of herself in a heroine like Molly.
I seriously cannot remember the last time I became THIS frenzied over a story, but I was turning those pages so deliriously fast I had blisters on my fingers by the end of it. With an absolutely brilliant premise at its core, followed by a million heart-stopping surprises along the way, and a mega plot twist in the middle, this duet was one of my most gripping and exhilarating reads ever, and cover to cover, a tragic yet gratifying roller-coaster ride like no other. SIX STARS and not a twinkle less!
I didn’t think it was possible, but this series just keeps getting better and better. Suspenseful, unexpected, irresistibly erotic, yet deeply romantic too, this book is truly the FULL PACKAGE in every possible way, and as hard as I tried to savour it for as long as I could, I ended up devouring it in a single sitting. A sensual, gripping page-turner that starts off with a ruse, but then turns into a high-stakes chase around the globe that leads a woman to believe in the promise of a better tomorrow, this was one of my most addictive reads of the year, and it only made me fall even more in love with J.T. Geissinger’s superb writing.
A friends-to-lovers romance like no other I’ve ever read before—so utterly unique and enchanting, and paced in Mariana Zapata’s signature slow burning style—this book took my breath away. I’ve never encountered an author who can convey SO MUCH EMOTION with so little fanfare, and whose unwavering focus on her characters is downright hypnotic, but Mariana’s stories always leave my heart a happy mess. Her books are sheer beauty beginning to end, and this one was simply dazzling.
